Patrick Costley is a research fellow at the California Policy Lab and a PhD student in economics at UCLA. He was previously a research officer at Burnett Foundation Aotearoa where he used survey data to support the design and implementation of sexual health programs in New Zealand.

Patrick’s research interests lie in labor economics and industrial organization. He is excited to be involved in research that can inform public policies that improve welfare and economic outcomes.

Patrick has his bachelors in economics and English and comparative literature with a minor in public policy from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. In his free time, he enjoys figure skating, baking, and movies.
