Megan Son is a Summer Institute Research Fellow and a third-year undergraduate student working towards a major in Statistics and a minor in English. She is interested in applying quantitative methods to human-focused projects, and exploring how data can be used to optimize public welfare rather than corporate profit. In particular, she is passionate about the capacity of data to address and remedy divergent educational outcomes in the California public education system.
