Alyssa Mooney is a Postdoctoral Scholar with the California Policy Lab at UC Berkeley. She holds a PhD in epidemiology from UCSF, where she conducted research on the intersections between health and criminal justice, and the impacts of criminal justice reforms in California on disparities across race and place. She has evaluated health programs with federal government agencies, Johns Hopkins University, and UCSF, and collaborated with state and county health departments to develop tools for program design and evaluation. She also holds a master’s of public health from Johns Hopkins University.
