Agnes KearyResearch Assistant, UC Berkeley
Agnes Keary is a Research Assistant at the California Policy Lab and is also a senior pre-law student majoring in Interdisciplinary Studies at the University of California, Berkeley, with a focus in Law, Language, and Society. She currently serves on a number of student lead boards at Berkeley in connection to underrepresented populations at the institution. Her accreditations include positions on the Police Oversight Commission of the Associated Students of the University of California, the National Council of Negro Womxn, the Inclusion Board of the African American Student Development Office, amongst others. In addition to English, she speaks Spanish, Korean, Swahili and Chinese. When she is not engaged in work for the California Policy Lab or studying for her Bachelor’s degree she enjoys practicing these languages or oil painting portraiture. She aspires to be an attorney, and in the future further women’s rights in her family’s village in Kenya, and promote the revitalization of Bantu language in judicial and academic institutions of East Africa.
