Researchers at CPL have partnered with the Committee on Revision of the Penal Code, a state agency that studies and makes recommendations to improve California’s criminal legal system, to provide new research and analysis to inform policy discussions.

This series of publications will answer frequently asked questions about California’s system, explore areas for potential reforms, and present other data. For more in-depth research, please see our project page.
